I recently introduced to you the stack of bracelets I put together with Ettika jewelry (see the post here). I had way too much fun sorting through their massive collection of incredibly detailed bracelets that just beg to be put together in lots of combinations. I settled on the three I'm wearing in these photos–which feature a sideways cross, a chain woven with fabric and a string of tiny beads–because they combine my favorite fashion color (black) with my favorite jewelry metal (gold). I'm pretty sure I've been wearing them with all of my other favorite bracelets almost every day lately–they're that perfect. But you don't just have to take my word for it–Ettika has offered to give one of my readers a gift card so they too can put together their own stack! Check back soon for the giveaway—it's one you won't want to miss.

To say I love jewelry would be an understatement…okay, a massive understatement that falls only slightly behind "I love shoes" and "I love handbags." Yet I never let having a lot of pieces take away from appreciating my latest addition. This gorgeous ring comes from Meghna Designs, a unique and talented collection inspired by its creator's Indian roots. Their jewelry is handcrafted in her native country by artisans using luxury materials–for example, this white ring contains a gorgeously milky agate druzy. It's really no surprise that many Meghna pieces have made their way into both print and film features (for example Blake Lively and Kelly Rutherford wore the brand's earrings in an episode of 'Gossip Girl')–I must admit I feel pretty glam wearing this one myself.

What to score a Meghna Designs piece of your very own? Well you're in luck–check back tomorrow for a very sparkly giveaway!

{things i wore} bootcut jeans

I like to experiment a lot with different looks–trendy or classic, tailored or boho, ultra-feminine or menswear-inspired–but if pressed, I can choose from among a few standby ensembles pretty quickly. This is easily my favorite type of outfit: a well-cut blazer, fitted jeans, tall heels, and a structured bag. Together they make me feel comfortable and confident, which is exactly what the perfect clothes and accessories should do for you.

What do you think?  How would you describe your favorite type of outfit?

{things i wore} boyfriend blazer

When temperatures dip–as they did earlier this week in New York–some warmer weather looks can be easily converted to adapt. I love wearing blazers over dresses as I did here: not only is there an interesting mix of feminine and more masculine shapes, but the dress itself wears like a new piece. By the way, you may have seen a tweet earlier this week that showed me standing outside of Tiffany & Co. (and grinning broadly)–the reason of course was in the blue bag. I purchased the "Venetian link" bracelet that I'm wearing in these pictures. Bright silver, bold shapes, and a dainty width–it's truly my new favorite accessory.

{things i wore} linen shirt

I finally caved this weekend and bought a new white button-down shirt–and of course promptly wore it out to dinner soon after (the tags on new purchases don't stay attached for too long in my closet). By wearing it I learned that J.Crew doesn't call it their 'perfect shirt' for nothing: while my last button-down is no longer as fitted as I'd like it to be, this one had all the tucks and tapering I needed but was still very comfortable. I'm so happy to finally be getting use out of my Jason Wu for Target clutch–straw bags and summer are a perfect combination.

{things i wore} sheer overlay shirtdress

Have you ever sifted through sales racks and found something marked down so much that you grab it without really thinking? Sometimes you score the perfect piece; other times you realize there was a reason why what you've just found was priced so cheaply. This dress was a super lucky find of the first sort–it was a fraction of its original retail price (read: less than $20) but was something I would have bought even if it had cost me much more. With some chunky gold jewelry it created a perfectly summery but dressy day-time look.

What do you think? What was your best sales-rack find?

P.S. I can't wait until Monday….I'll be posting a giveaway for a fabulous Lodis handbag! Check out their site to try to find the fabulous purse that I'll be featuring (and that you might win). Hint: like this dress, it sports a very reptilian print.

{things i wore} slashed-back shirt

It's silly, but I just love it when I craft an outfit that can transition from day to night just through the swapping of some accessories. This weekend I started out by wearing this look with flats and one of my favorite shoppers–Hayden Harnett's Welles Hobo in 'Dusk' (last seen here)–and then switched to a pair of heeled sandals and a clutch for the rest of the evening. With its spectacular neon color, this shirt is so much fun to wear–plus from the front it is hard to suspect its slashed-back detailing.

{things i wore} paisley maxi dress

When I purchased this dress back in March (see this post), Spring was only seven days away. Now Summer is the season that's just around the corner (the solstice is next Wednesday, June 20) and I can finally wear it as much as I like. While black and white are my absolute favorite colors when it comes to fashion, purple is my (sometimes) guilty pleasure. This paisley dress incorporates all three in a fun print. In keeping with the color scheme, I also reached for my Louloubelle clutch with its eggplant trim–remember to shop Roztayger, a sleek online boutique, for more of the the up-and-coming designer's pieces.

{things i wore} linen clutch

Sometime recently I discovered that I can never have enough clutches. It's funny: a few years back, I was all about oversized bags and thought getting anything too small would be a waste of valuable shopping. Now I grab clutches constantly to wear with all sorts of outfits. While this means I have to whittle down my purse's contents to the essentials (which is a lot harder than it may seem), it's completely worth it to finish a look.  I was thrilled when Twisted Orchid sent me this linen clutch (they have so many fun statement bags and their Facebook page has its own built-in store– so convenient). The bag is wonderfully summery and its black silk buckle paired perfectly with this airy button-down shirt.

P.S. I'm so happy to report that Twisted Orchid wants one of my readers to win their own choice of bag from their current offering (worth up to $75)….check back later for your chance to enter to win!

{things i wore} high-rise trouser jeans

I love finding variations on traditional denim. My sister dug this pair of jeans out of a sales rack at the Gap–luckily in my size–and when I realized they'd ring up for less than $20, I knew I'd be leaving the store with them. The color is a unique blue, the fabric holds its shape, and the fit is surprisingly comfortable for a high-waisted cut. Warmer weather means that all I need is a light scarf  and tank to finish a look and I'm ready to enjoy a day in the sunshine.
