I've really wanted a nice sweater dress for a while now. I love cozy pieces of clothing with an oversized fit–but mostly in concept. Usually when I try on a knit dress I shy away, though I really don't think I could turn down this 3.1 Phillip Lim piece. I can't think of a better Thanksgiving Day outfit. It would allow plenty of room for your big dinner and would make the transition from table to couch nicely–just kick off your heels and you're already wrapped in something blanket-like. And that's not even mentioning the appropriateness of its color: with its orangey-yellow hue, you'd match the leaves, sweet potatoes, and pie.
What do you think? Yay or nay to sweater dresses? And what do you wear to your Thanksgiving feast?

The official color of this bag is "vermilion," but this week I'm thinking of it as holly-berry red. I love the structure–a 3.1 Phillip Lim trademark– and the way the shape's lines are interrupted by the vertical zippers at the sides. The dark hardware provides great contrast to the patent, plus it makes the small studs across the front look something like the black buttons of Santa's coat…okay this last bit may just be the Christmas countdown in me talking.
