I’d never stepped foot in an Aritzia before, but decided to give it a try on a recent shopping trip with my sister and David. I saw an employee wearing this shirt and fell for the sales tactic–it looks so versatile and luxe that I send David searching for it while I was still in the dressing room trying on something else. The knit was stretchy and comfy and it seemed like it could be worn year round–so I knew I’d be walking out with it.
I completely spaced on the Marimekko for Target launch, which upset me since I loved the collaboration they did with Banana Republic a few years ago (I’m all about black and white prints). Luckily this one didn’t fly off the (virtual) shelves for whatever reason and I was able to order this light and comfortable sundress later in the week after the launch.
This sweatshirt was an Easter gift from David–he and I are suckers for Wildfox’s graphic sweatshirts. I love them because they’re super soft and comfortable with just the right amount of slouch/tapering, and he loves finding me ones that have special-to-us sayings (I had my first ever-margarita with him and our first date was in a Mexican restaurant).
I love my wedgie fit jeans so I was a bit upset to see that the shorts version they released got mixed reviews. I decided against ordering off the website for that reason but was too curious to resist a try-on when I spotted a rack of them in Bloomingdale’s. I had to size way up–I normally go up one size with shorts but for these I went up three to get a the looser, vintage look they’re intended to have. They’re really great cut-offs though: lots of leg coverage but still very flattering and comfortable.
