As I mentioned yesterday, I'm absolutely in love with my new tote from Prada. Why? Well I can seriously say it's as close to perfection that I've ever seen or felt in a handbag. To start, it holds an incredible amount in its relatively modest frame–it definitely doesn't feel "oversized" but acts like it (I think the secret's in the zippered side compartments: they store things stacked and out of the way). It's also a dream to carry because it's light-weight, well-proportioned, and has the option of a shoulder strap. I really like all its little extra detailing: it's subtly branded on every possible surface and the packaging and dust bag are a step above most. My favorite part is its history: it's nicknamed the 'Galleria' tote after the shop the label opened one-hundred years ago, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and the Saffiano calf leather it uses so well is rumored to have been invented by founder Mario Prada himself. Elegant and timeless, like the brand itself–it's my newest favorite handbag.
