A few weeks ago I was sent an invite to join a website called Influenster. Their concept is pretty simple: build a profile that reflects your lifestyle and leave firsthand reviews of the brands/products you use. The more specialized your opinions are–and the more social media outlets that you're connected to–the higher your Influenster score becomes. A higher score makes a more interesting profile–and also comes with the promise of "VoxBoxes," mailings of full-sizes products to test and review. I was lucky enough to be chosen to feature a Holiday VoxBox this year–a record 10,000 users received them! Read below for more on each product.
Quaker® Real Medleys Oatmeal+ : I didn't eat this one personally–I like controlling the amount of sugar I add to my oatmeal–but a friend tasted it for me and said it was easy to make and very delicious! / EBOOST : I'm super sensitive to caffeine (yes, that means I get going every morning without coffee), so I sat this one out too. But I was super pleased with the label–all natural ingredients and the promise of no crash–and my friend said the taste was great.
NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine : I love NYC New York Color products because they're always affordable and on trend. This one was great–and as shiny as they describe!
Kiss® Nail Dress : I've yet to test out this set but I've been wanting to try strip nail polish for ages. I go crazy to get my nails perfect (read: no bubbles) so anything with zero-drying time looks great!
Goody® QuikStyle Brush (Paddle Styler) : This microfiber bristled brush was my favorite freebie–it's possibly the best thing to happen to my hair routine since my favorite leave-in conditioner spray. Not-so-fun facts: too much towel drying/blow drying leads to frizz for anyone with curly hair and leaving in too much moisture weighs down each spiral for a long time. This brush quickly removes enough water to ensure smooth curls with less fuss. Plus it's fun to use–and makes me look forward to styling my hair.
